Job Title: Product Development Chemist – Fertilizer Resins
Location: North Carolina (On-site)
Note: Must have experience in fertilizer resins. Overview: Client is looking for Product Development Chemist with specialized experience in fertilizer resins. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working hands-on in a laboratory environment and is eager to design, synthesize, and improve slow-release fertilizer technologies that drive sustainable agricultural growth. You’ll join a collaborative R&D team where innovation, problem-solving, and real-world impact meet.
What You’ll Do: - Design, synthesize, and formulate new fertilizer resin and polymer products tailored for agricultural applications.
- Conduct lab-scale testing and analysis to evaluate formulation performance and stability.
- Identify process improvements and assist in optimizing product formulations for scalability and efficiency.
- Partner with cross-functional teams in manufacturing, product engineering, and quality to support pilot testing and full-scale production.
- Document research findings, experimental data, and formulations in compliance with safety and regulatory guidelines.
What We’re Looking For: - Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline.
- Minimum 4–5 years of hands-on product development experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
- Strong background in resin or polymer chemistry, with direct experience related to fertilizer product development.
- Proven ability to take ideas from concept through synthesis and final formulation.
- Demonstrated success in developing slow-release fertilizers or similar controlled-release systems.
- Excellent technical problem-solving, documentation, and collaboration skills.
Preferred Skills & Experience: - Background in scale-up or pilot plant operations for fertilizer resin products.
- Working knowledge of Design of Experiments (DOE) and other R&D design tools.
- Understanding of industrial resin manufacturing methods.
- Must hold valid U.S. work authorization (Green Card, U.S. Citizen, or active H1B).
- Candidates from any U.S. state are welcome; relocation assistance available.
- PhD not required – strong industry experience is highly valued.
- A plus for candidates with slow-release technology expertise, particularly those who have developed products from the ground up rather than additives or coatings.
Job Type: Full-time Pay: $110.00 - $140.00 per year Benefits:
