Job DescriptionNorditech Pty Ltd is seeking a full-time Technical Sales Representative to join our Sydney team. This role is an exciting opportunity for a technically skilled professional to drive sales of process and environmental monitoring solutions across industries such as tunnels, mining, chemical plants, power stations, metal, and cement industries.This position requires a strong technical background to assess environmental and process monitoring needs, interpret Australian Standards and EPA regulations, and propose tailored solutions to help clients accurately monitor emissions and optimize operational performance.
Responsibilities:- Provide technical consultation on gas and particulate monitoring in ambient air, as well as flow, temperature, dust, and gas monitoring in industrial stacks.
- Assist clients in selecting the right monitoring solution by conducting in-depth reviews of their site conditions and regulatory requirements.
- Assess customers' needs and recommend and explain suitable products and services.
- Support clients across various sectors and applications, including oil-in-water monitoring for industrial water treatment processes, dust collector monitoring solutions (detecting broken filter bags), and stack emissions monitoring.
- Prepare detailed technical proposals, tenders, and compliance reports for environmental and process monitoring solutions.
- Collaborate with Norditech’s engineering and service teams to ensure smooth implementation and ongoing client support.
- Stay updated on advancements in emissions monitoring technologies and their industrial applications.
- Identify new sales opportunities by researching potential and existing customers through networking, referrals, and cold calls.
- Develop a territory business plan aligned with market trends and business growth strategies.
- Meet with key decision-makers in industrial sectors to understand their emissions monitoring requirements and propose tailored technical solutions.
- Prepare and deliver compelling technical presentations to engage potential clients and demonstrate Norditech’s industry expertise.
- Provide accurate sales forecasts and market reports on a monthly/quarterly basis.
- Report monthly sales performance to management, analyzing trends and identifying areas for growth.
- Make strategic recommendations to improve sales performance and optimize market penetration.
- Analyze market trends and sales data to identify new business opportunities and enhance sales performance within assigned regions.
Skills and Experience Required:- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Environmental, Mechanical, Electrical, or a related discipline).
- At least 1 year of experience in technical sales, application engineering, or business development, preferably in environmental monitoring, process control, or emissions management.
- Strong understanding of dust, flow, temperature, and gas monitoring technologies, as well as air quality measurement techniques.
- Ability to interpret and apply relevant environmental regulations and industrial standards for emissions, process, and ambient monitoring technologies.
- Knowledge of CEMS (Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems), ambient air monitoring, underground mining, and water quality monitoring solutions.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to propose and implement effective technical solutions.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex engineering concepts into practical solutions for clients.
