About the Role:We are seeking a talented and experienced Indian Chef to join our team. With two well-established locations in Wellington, our restaurants are known for delivering authentic Indian flavors through quality ingredients and traditional cooking methods. We’re looking for someone passionate about Indian cuisine and committed to excellence in every dish.Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a wide variety of Indian dishes including curries, tandoori items, snacks, breads, and desserts
- Ensure food quality, presentation, and consistency at all times
- Maintain kitchen hygiene and food safety standards
- Work collaboratively with kitchen staff on day-to-day operations and menu planning
- Train and guide junior staff when required
Requirements:
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience as an Indian Chef
- Proficiency in traditional Indian cooking techniques and spice use
- Skilled in operating tandoor ovens and preparing both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Culinary qualification or trade certificate preferred
