Head Chef – St Alma20 Albert St, Freshwater 2096St Alma in Freshwater is looking for an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our kitchen. We are a young and growing hospitality group, and we want a leader who can help shape that growth. You will be joining a close-knit team in an exciting and supportive environment, with plenty of room to grow as we continue expanding. Candidates with a background in modern Mexican cuisine will be highly regarded.
Responsibilities:- Lead and manage the kitchen team, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
- Oversee menu development and execution, ensuring dishes meet the highest standards.
- Maintain stock control, supplier relationships, and food cost management.
- Train, mentor, and develop kitchen staff.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, WHS, and licensing regulations.
Requirements:- Proven experience as a Head Chef in a high-quality venue.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Creativity and ability to design innovative menus.
- Solid knowledge of kitchen financials, food cost, and labour management.
- Expertise in modern Mexican cuisine (desirable).
