About the Role As a Mechanical Engineer, you'll design and deliver HVAC and building services solutions, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and support projects from concept through construction and commissioning.
What You'll Do? - Engineering Design
- Design HVAC, ventilation, air conditioning, and mechanical systems
- Prepare engineering calculations, specifications, and technical reports
- Produce and review designs using AutoCAD, Revit, and related software
- Project Delivery
- Coordinate with architects and multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Conduct site inspections and provide construction support
- Ensure designs meet New Zealand codes and industry standards
- Collaboration & Innovation
- Build strong client and stakeholder relationships
- Support sustainable and energy-efficient engineering solutions
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to project success
Skills & Qualifications - Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Membership (or eligibility) with Engineering New Zealand is preferred
- Experience in building services or infrastructure engineering
Key Skills - Proficiency in Revit MEP, AutoCAD, and HVAC design software
- Knowledge of New Zealand building regulations and standards
- Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills
