Mechanical Engineer

Mechanical Engineer | Stantec New Zealand Design innovative and sustainable mechanical systems for major commercial, healthcare, industrial, education, and infrastructure projects across New Zealand. About the Role As a Mechanical Engineer, you'll design and deliver HVAC and building services solutions, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and support projects from concept through construction and commissioning. What You'll Do?

• Engineering Design
• Design HVAC, ventilation, air conditioning, and mechanical systems
• Prepare engineering calculations, specifications, and technical reports
• Produce and review designs using AutoCAD, Revit, and related software
• Project Delivery
• Coordinate with architects and multidisciplinary engineering teams
• Conduct site inspections and provide construction support
• Ensure designs meet New Zealand codes and industry standards
• Collaboration & Innovation
• Build strong client and stakeholder relationships
• Support sustainable and energy-efficient engineering solutions
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to project success

Skills & Qualifications

• Education & Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Membership (or eligibility) with Engineering New Zealand is preferred
• Experience in building services or infrastructure engineering

Key Skills

• Proficiency in Revit MEP, AutoCAD, and HVAC design software
• Knowledge of New Zealand building regulations and standards
• Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills
