Full job descriptionPB48 Limited is currently seeking an 2 x experienced full time Class 5 truck driver to join our team. This position is a floating role operating across New Zealand and requires a high level of flexibility. The role will be primarily based in Hamilton, with all shifts commencing from there.About the roleThe responsibilities of this role include:Adhering to all road codes and traffic guidelines.Operating the truck in a safe and responsible manner.Navigating using maps and selecting the most efficient routes.Ensuring the safety and security of the load.Complying with all health and safety regulations.Reporting any incidents that occur.Conducting regular vehicle checks and reporting any maintenance issues.The role includes the responsibility for the loading and unloading of the truck, ensuring all cargo is handled with care and in compliance with safety standards.Maintenance of the vehicle's cleanliness is a key aspect of the role, with a requirement to wash the truck on a weekly basis.The ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively, under supervision or independently, is essential for this position.RequirementsTo be considered for this position, applicant must meet the following criteria:Possession of a clean Class 5 New Zealand driver's license or an equivalent overseas license.A minimum of two years of demonstrable experience in a relevant field is required.Availability to work flexible hours is essential. This position is primarily a floating role across New Zealand, with typical workdays running from Monday to Saturday, including some weekends and overnight stays as required.Ability to work effectively under pressure.Demonstrated physical fitness.Commitment to being drug-free.
