Full-Time Chef – Puglia Pasta Bar, Byron Bay
Salary: $70,000 – $80,000 AUD We are looking for our next full-time chef, this is a long-term, full time position and recruitment is in Australia and abroad. Puglia Pasta Bar is an authentic Italian dining destination in the heart of Byron Bay, specialising in traditional pasta dishes. We are seeking a passionate and experienced Full-Time Chef to join our team and bring a taste of Italy to our vibrant coastal community. What you’ll be doing

• Leading and supervising kitchen staff to ensure consistent, high-quality food delivery
• Maintaining strict food safety and hygiene standards
• Monitoring stock levels and placing orders as required
• Collaborating with the front-of-house team to provide exceptional customer service
• Continuously improving processes and procedures to increase kitchen efficiency

What we’re looking for

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a chef in a fast-paced restaurant environment
• Hands-on experience cooking in Italy, an Italian restaurant, or specialising in pasta and traditional Italian recipes
• Strong knowledge of food preparation, plating and presentation techniques
• Excellent time management and multitasking skills to thrive in a busy kitchen
• Proven ability to lead and mentor a team of chefs and kitchen staff
• Passion for using fresh, locally-sourced ingredients to create delicious, innovative dishes
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends and public holidays as required
• Current NSW food safety and hygiene certification
