Job Description:
IO Datasphere, Inc. has been providing project management, software development and IT staff augmentation services to our clients in the Midwest and throughout the U.S. since 1996. We are an approved vendor on contract to provide software development and IT staff augmentation services for the States of Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, Iowa, and Wisconsin. We also provide these services to businesses, as well as local and county governments, in the Midwest and nationwide. Our client is looking for a Quality Assurance Analyst to assist with current systems. Tasks
  • Identify test requirements from user stories and acceptance criteria, create detailed test plans and test cases in Azure DevOps (ADO) according to Agency s standards and collaborate with stakeholders for review and approval.
  • Coordinate and analyze feedback from other reviewers. Collaborate and negotiate with the project managers and analyst to create appropriate resolutions. Review all acceptance criteria.
  • Coordinate with project managers, analysts, and developers to understand requirements and clarify any gaps before testing begins.
  • Review and approve test artifacts. Identify and automate candidates.
  • Perform thorough manual testing of web applications, including functional, regression, and integration testing.
  • Log and track bugs in ADO, coordinate with the development team to ensure timely resolution.
  • Document all test results, test data, and test evidence in an organized and accessible manner.
  • Prepare and deliver demos of completed work items, create presentations to communicate testing outcomes to stakeholders.
  • Investigate and help debug production issues by reviewing logs, test scenarios, and application behavior.
  • Perform basic API testing using tools like SoapUI and understand API structures such as endpoints, methods, and response formats.
  • Ability to handle and switch between multiple projects with minimal supervision.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Identifying and initiate continuous process improvement.

NOTE: Local candidates within 2 hours of Lansing, MI ONLY. Position will be hybrid, in office 2 days a week upon start and there is NO REMOTE ONLY option. Location: Lansing, MI (Hybrid 2 days per week) Contract: 1 year Skills Required:
  • 5+ years - Experience using Selenium, Provar, or other automation testing tools.
  • 5+ years - Experience with manual testing.
  • Experience with Java.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field
