Job descriptionBusiness Support managersThe Business Support Manager is an integral role providing the central back-office services required to ensure the organisation functions smoothly. This important role will lead and oversee all aspects of the organisation’s compliance, IT, governance and many management processes to support the expanding and varied operations . The role requires the management of administration. Alongside these duties, the role provides a key communication function with the Board and staff across a broad range of policies and programmes. The postholder will also be part of our Senior Management Team (SMT) with specific input on governance, including recruitment and equality and diversity.Key Responsibilities and Tasks: -Deliver high-quality administrative support to internal departments or service areas.Maintain accurate records, databases, and filing systems (both electronic and paper-based).Assist with financial processes such as raising purchase orders, invoice processing, and budget tracking.Support HR-related tasks including onboarding processes, staff absence tracking, and training records.Organise meetings, prepare agendas, take minutes, and follow up on actions.Respond to internal and external enquiries efficiently, providing accurate information or redirecting appropriately.Contribute to service improvement by reviewing procedures and suggesting changes for increased efficiency.Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to ensure the timely delivery of services or information.Ensure confidentiality and compliance with data protection and other regulatory requirements.Support project teams with administrative duties, including report preparation and coordinationHandle correspondence, reports, and documents, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures.Manage budgets, financial records, and procurement processes.Supervise and support administrative staff, providing training and development as needed.Address and resolve any operational issues that arise.Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standardsProvide comprehensive support to the senior management team.Facilitate communication between departments and ensure effective information flowSupervise and support administrative staff, providing training and development as needed.Plans work schedules, assigns tasks ,and delegates responsibilities.Advises on the handling of all correspondence and enquiries relating to accounts, sales, statistical and vacancy recordsKey skills required: -Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).Ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure.Flexible and adaptable approach to managing workloads.Strong sense of responsibility and initiative.Knowledge of basic financial and HR processes (preferred but not essential).Written and verbal communication skills - needed for communicating with a range of people, both internally and externally, as well as presentation skillsIT skills, including the use of spreadsheetsTeamworking skills and a collaborative approach to work.Decision-making skills.The ability to multitask and prioritise your workload.Project management and organisational skills.The ability to motivate yourself and set your own goals.Negotiating skills.The ability to think strategically.The ability to analyse sales figures and write reports.A flexible approach to work with the ability to adapt to a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.Initiative and the confidence to start things from scratch.Educational Qualifications: - Minimum bachelor’s degree in International Business Management.Job Types: Full-time, Fixed-term contractSchedule:
