Infrastructure Architect with strong expertise in
on-premise infrastructure and Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) integration. This role will be responsible for leading infrastructure due diligence, designing integration strategies, and ensuring seamless consolidation of IT environments during acquisitions.The ideal candidate will have deep technical knowledge across
enterprise infrastructure, virtualization, networking, storage, and security, along with proven experience managing complex infrastructure transformation initiatives.Key Responsibilities
- Lead IT infrastructure due diligence during M&A assessments, identifying risks, dependencies, and integration opportunities.
- Design and execute infrastructure integration plans for acquired organizations.
- Plan and manage data center consolidation, infrastructure migration, and system integration initiatives.
- Architect enterprise server environments including Windows Server, Linux, Unix, VMware, and Nutanix platforms.
- Oversee system migrations, upgrades, and infrastructure optimization with minimal business disruption.
- Collaborate with networking teams to implement network integration strategies, including IP schema alignment, firewall rule harmonization, and secure connectivity.
- Ensure network performance, redundancy, and security during integration phases.
- Implement and align security policies and controls across merged infrastructure environments.
- Manage infrastructure components including servers, storage (SAN/NAS), virtualization platforms, and backup solutions.
- Maintain detailed technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational procedures.
- Partner with cross-functional teams including IT, security, legal, and business stakeholders to support successful M&A initiatives.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to infrastructure engineers and project teams.
- Communicate effectively with executive stakeholders, providing updates on progress, risks, and mitigation strategies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 12+ years of experience in enterprise IT infrastructure.
- Proven experience supporting infrastructure integration in M&A environments.
- Strong expertise in systems engineering, networking, and cybersecurity.
- Hands-on experience with servers, virtualization platforms, networking, storage (SAN/NAS), and backup solutions.
- Experience with enterprise infrastructure architecture and migration strategies.
- Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with VMware and Nutanix environments.
- Experience managing large-scale infrastructure transformation projects.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
