OverviewWe are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our kitchen team in delivering exceptional culinary experiences within the Club House at Crieff Golf Club. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food production and preparation, coupled with excellent leadership and team management skills. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality are maintained while fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Responsibilities- Supervise and manage kitchen staff, ensuring effective teamwork and communication.
- Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to maintain high-quality standards.
- Develop and design innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends while meeting customer preferences.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean, organised kitchen environment.
- Train and mentor kitchen staff in culinary techniques, food safety practices, and hospitality standards.
- Monitor inventory levels, ordering supplies as needed to ensure seamless operations.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure exceptional service delivery.
- Maintain cost control measures while maximising the quality of dishes served.
Experience- Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar leadership role within a restaurant environment.
- Strong culinary skills with extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a team effectively, fostering a collaborative atmosphere.
- In-depth understanding of food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen.
- Previous experience in menu development and execution is highly desirable.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
