Lube Technician to join our automotive service team in Edmonton. This position is ideal for individuals with a strong interest in automotive maintenance and repair, including newcomers to Canada with relevant experience or training.As a Lube Technician, you will perform essential vehicle maintenance services such as oil changes, fluid checks, and basic inspections to ensure vehicles operate safely and efficiently. This role offers excellent opportunities to gain hands-on experience and grow your technical skills in a supportive, professional environment.Key Responsibilities
- Perform oil changes, lubrication services, and routine vehicle inspections
- Use hand tools, power tools, and automotive equipment safely and effectively
- Conduct basic vehicle checks and identify potential maintenance or repair needs
- Replace filters, fluids, and other vehicle components as required
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace
- Communicate clearly with customers about services performed and recommendations
- Follow workplace safety standards and manufacturer guidelines
- Work collaboratively with technicians and service advisors
Qualifications & Requirements
- Previous experience in an automotive shop, dealership, or mechanical role is an asset (not mandatory)
- Basic knowledge of automotive systems and maintenance is preferred
- Training, education, or experience gained outside Canada will be considered
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs safely
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Valid driver’s license is an asset
