We are looking for experienced Cooks to join our team. This role involves preparing a variety of dishes, ensuring consistency and quality, and contributing to the efficient daily functioning of the kitchen.Key Responsibilities:
- Cooking and plating a variety of dishes, curries, items, breads, snacks, and more, using both traditional and contemporary methods.
- Preparing and organizing fresh ingredients daily to ensure the kitchen is ready for service.
- Ensuring consistent flavour, texture, and presentation across all menu items.
Checking the freshness and quality of vegetables, meats, spices, and other ingredients prior to use.
- Operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including gas ranges, ovens, and deep fryers.
- Properly storing raw and cooked food in compliance with food safety and temperature control standards.
- Portioning and preparing dishes according to company specifications and service requirements.
- Supporting the Chef and kitchen team with food prep, stock checks, and general kitchen duties as required
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and hygienic kitchen environment at all times.
- Following all relevant Health & Safety and Food Hygiene regulations, especially those specific to Mexican and Indian cuisine preparation.
Candidate Requirements:
- At least one year of relevant work experience is strongly preferred.
- Holding a certificate or above level qualification in the absence of work experience is required.
- Must be flexible to work on weekends, late evenings and on public holidays.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to perform well under pressure.
- Physically fit and able to handle the demands of a busy kitchen environment.
- Reliable, hardworking, and passionate about cooking.
- High attention to detail and strong commitment to hygiene and safety practices.
