About the Opportunity An established, vertically integrated poultry producer is seeking an experienced
Poultry Veterinarian to support its farming operations across Victoria.
Reporting to the General Manager – Farming, you'll play a key role in maintaining flock health, animal welfare, biosecurity and production performance across breeder and broiler operations.
Key Responsibilities - Monitor flock health, welfare and production performance.
- Diagnose, investigate and treat poultry diseases and health issues.
- Develop and oversee preventative health and vaccination programs.
- Conduct post-mortem examinations and disease investigations.
- Monitor health data and provide recommendations to improve flock performance.
- Lead biosecurity, animal welfare and veterinary compliance initiatives.
- Maintain accurate veterinary and regulatory records.
- Liaise with laboratories, regulatory bodies and industry specialists.
- Provide technical advice and training to farm management teams.
- Support continuous improvement across farming operations.
About You You will have:- A recognised veterinary qualification and current (or eligible) Australian veterinary registration.
- Experience in commercial poultry production, ideally within breeder and broiler operations.
- Strong knowledge of poultry health, disease management, vaccination programs and biosecurity.
- Sound understanding of animal welfare and food safety requirements.
- Excellent diagnostic, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A proactive, practical approach and a commitment to continuous improvement.
- A current Australian Driver Licence.
