The De Fraga Group has been part of Richmond hospitality for over 2 decades operating a variety of venues with the Suburb. Currently the group includes the iconic Richmond venues The Swan Hotel and Public House and has a new jewel in the crown, the newly renovated Kingston Hotel which has been featured in this year's Age Good Food Guide About the Opportunity:The Kingston Hotel with it's restaurant Marble & Pearl is seeking a talented sous chef to fill a position within our passionate and highly motivated team helping to run the day to day operations of the kitchen.Candidates must have experience in a high volume venue that produces exceptional food. This is an opportunity to work in one of Melbourne's most historic venues that has undergone an exciting rebranding and renovation including a full kitchen remodel with a view to become one of the leading hospitality venues in the industry. This concept has been a huge success and we are now operating one of the busiest restaurants in Richmond and have featured in the current Good Food Guide.We would like to invite all suitably qualified and experienced applicants to apply and are looking for candidates with;
  • Passion for the industry
  • The ability to operate a high volume kitchen
  • Ability to manage and build strong teams
  • Possess strong leadership skills and the ability to mentor and train the team
  • Very strong planning and organisational skills to ensure quality and consistency in all areas of kitchen operations
  • Familiarity with food safety standards and the skills to implement necessary processes
  • Create quality menus including interesting daily specials
  • Liaise with floor staff on a daily basis
  • Maintain high standards and lead by example
