About The Role
We are seeking a
Staff Software Engineer with 5–8 years of experience to take technical leadership on key projects and drive impact across the organization. This is a high-ownership role where you will lead end-to-end initiatives, influence architecture decisions, and scale enterprise-grade applications.
You will work closely with product managers and other engineers to design and build
scalable systems, mentor teammates, and contribute to the evolution of the tech stack. This role is ideal for engineers who thrive in fast-moving environments, enjoy solving complex technical challenges, and are excited to shape the architecture and culture of a growing engineering team.
Responsibilities
- Lead projects end-to-end, from conception to deployment, collaborating closely with product managers.
- Design and build scalable full-stack applications using Python/Django (backend) and React (frontend).
- Contribute to system-level design, architectural decisions, and technical innovation.
- Work with large datasets and service-oriented architectures.
- Mentor other engineers and provide technical leadership across the team.
- Ensure code quality, maintainability, and scalability across all projects.
Requirements
- 5–8 years of experience in full-stack software engineering.
- Strong backend experience with Python/Django.
- Modern frontend expertise with React and JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Experience with system design for large-scale infrastructure.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Experience at a Series B (or similar stage) startup preferred.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and mentorship skills.
- Ability to work remotely in US time zones (ideally based in SF or NYC).
