Job Description:
The Outpost is a Kiwi privately owned retail tourist store located in CBD Queenstown seeking experienced person to join our team. We need a Retail Manager for our store in Queenstown. It’s a diverse and multifaceted role with full time hours. Key tasks for this role include; completing all store operational requirements by working with other Managers to schedule and assign employees; following up on work results. Maintain store staff by assisting with recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees. Maintain store staff job results by coaching, and counseling employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results. Work with owners to design and create new product ranges and follow pathway of production through to sales. Achieve financial objectives by working with the admin team with the ordering of products and supplies, scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions. Identifying current and future customer requirements by establishing rapport with potential and actual customers, and other persons in a position to understand service requirements. With the increasing international tourist numbers this role will involve communicating and navigating the needs of our shop visitors and our customers from all across the world . Ensure availability of merchandise and services by maintaining inventories. Assist with pricing policies by reviewing merchandising activities; determining additional needed sales promotion; clearance sales; studying trends. Please ensure you are able to find your own Accomodation in Qtwn The following qualities are important and helpful to the role; *a minimum 3 years proven RETAIL experience, knowledge and ability. * Back office and shop floor sales services of modern retail system. * Skilled with, financial accounting, POS system, stock and inventory management. * Proven international interpersonal understanding and communication skills, fluency in an additional foreign language will be an advantage. *Applications MUST have a NZ citizen/residency or valid work visa, Accredited Employer Work Visa (AEWV),
