General Farm Worker

Begin date: 3/1/2026 Full Time: Yes Number of Workers Requested: 1 Job Duties: The position involves hands-on duties relating to dairy cattle care, feed preparation, equipment operation, and facility maintenance in support of daily dairy and livestock operations. Livestock Care and Handling - Assist with feeding, supplementing, and vaccinating dairy cows and calves. - Assist in calving for cows and heifers. - Wean calves and provide basic health monitoring and care. - Move sick animals to designated treatment pens. - Sort and load calves for transport. Crop, Feed, and Waste Management - Operate large farm machinery to pack silage, prepare feed, and perform field preparation. - Push and spread manure as part of daily waste-handling operations. - Assist with grazing management on winter wheat, including setting up and maintaining electric fencing. Equipment and Facility Maintenance - Maintain and repair water systems, feed bunks, fencing, corrals, and related structures. - Repair and maintain farm vehicles and mechanical equipment. - Perform daily upkeep of tools, machinery, vehicles, and work areas. General Farm Operations - Drive farm vehicles for work-related tasks. - Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized worksite.
