OverviewWe are seeking a skilled and dedicated Tire Technician to join our automotive service team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and be comfortable working with hand and power tools. This role involves inspecting, repairing, and replacing tyres, ensuring vehicles are safe and roadworthy. Duties- Remove and replace tyres on a variety of vehicle types using appropriate hand and power tools
- Inspect tyres for damage, wear, and defects, advising customers on necessary repairs or replacements
- Perform wheel balancing and alignment procedures as required
- Conduct routine maintenance tasks on tyre equipment to ensure optimal operation
- Assist customers courteously, providing clear explanations of services performed and recommended actions
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment to adhere to health and safety standards
- Heavy lifting of tyres and related equipment safely during daily operations
Requirements- Proven mechanical knowledge with experience working with hand tools and power tools
- Previous experience in tyre fitting or automotive maintenance is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Strong customer service skills with a professional attitude
- Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively
- Flexibility to work in a physically demanding environment, including standing for extended periods
- Basic maintenance skills for tyre equipment are desirable but not mandatory
