Job title: Java Developer – Hedge Fund / Investment Systems Location: New York City (Onsite – 5 days/week) Full time and Contract both option available
We are actively hiring a skilled Java Developer for our client in New York City, working on portfolio management and investment platform initiatives (Finbourne ecosystem).

🧠 Key Requirements (Must Have)
- 7–10+ years of experience in Java development- Strong experience in Hedge Fund / Private Equity / Capital Markets domain (MANDATORY)- Solid hands-on experience with:- Core Java, Spring / Spring Boot- REST APIs & Microservices architecture- Experience working with financial data systems:- Trades, Positions, P&L, Pricing, Market Data- Strong experience with SQL & database design- Experience with data integrations, messaging systems, APIs- Understanding of portfolio management / investment platforms (Finbourne is a big plus)
🚀 What You’ll Do- Design and develop scalable backend systems for investment / portfolio platforms- Build and maintain APIs, services, and data pipelines- Integrate data across OMS, accounting, and downstream systems- Work closely with BA/TA, Product, and QA teams for delivery- Optimize performance and ensure reliability of financial applications- Participate in system design, code reviews, and production support

🎓 Preferred Qualifications- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure preferred)- Familiarity with Agile / Scrum environments- Exposure to tools like Kafka, MuleSoft, or similar integration frameworks
