Job Summary: Royal Caribbean Group is a leading cruise company, and they are seeking an Analyst in Data Science to provide data and decision support to the organization. The role involves statistical modeling, data analysis, and the creation of reports and visualizations to aid in understanding business trends and patterns.
Responsibilities: • Responsible for the gathering, analysis, and interpretation of data. • Develop, Implement and enhance high impact business process improvement projects. • Provide information and recommendations to leadership on both regular and ad-hoc basis. • Prepares regular reports sent to management. • Ensures that our information systems and resources are optimally aligned to support our business objectives. • Uses data visualization programs, tools and techniques to generate dashboards, reports and presentations that aid in data storytelling, understanding and interpretation of trends and patterns of business importance. • Creates and maintains statistical models for ongoing and ad hoc review and analysis of data.
Qualifications:
Required: • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Finance, Statistics or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. • Experience as a data analyst, with working data manipulation and interpretation skills. • Possess a high level of business acumen in order to work with business owners and deliver analysis that leads to business actions. • Deep skills in analytics tools. • Knowledge of a scripting language like Python or Ruby. • Knowledge and direct experience using business intelligence reporting tools such as PowerBI and Tableau. • Excel programming/macro writing skills and VBA. • Solid understanding of relational database concepts, experience working with databases, database management tools and SQL. • Experience with graph databases and query languages. • Experience with Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services (AWS). • Experience with Agile software development. • Experience with Excel, VBA, Macros, SQL, and Graph Databases. • Experienced with Python, R, etc. • Strong communication (verbal and written) and collaboration abilities in addition to technical depth. • Comfortable delivering within an agile program.
Preferred: • The best candidate will also have experience with Natural Language Processing and exposure to working with systems in the Artificial Intelligence space. • Technical capabilities with Cloud Services and Micro Services Patterns, API Management, Azure and AWS Services.
