Basic Wings Course (BWC) is the RSAF’s foundational pilot training program. It develops core
flying skills, airmanship, and aviation knowledge, preparing trainees for advanced training and operational conversion on RSAF aircraft. The program combines
ground academics and practical flying, covering navigation, formation flying, instrument flying, and emergency procedures. Graduates of the BWC will embark on Advanced Wings Course for type specific training before being awarded the coveted RSAF wings.
We are seeking a
Flight Scheduler to plan and manage scheduling requirements for the
BWC,
Flying Instructor Course (FIC), and
Competency to Instruct (C-I) syllabi. This role ensures optimal use of aircraft and resources while maintaining safety, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan, develop, and manage course schedules to optimise aircraft utilisation and resources.
- Revise schedules and provide economic analysis to meet current and long-term requirements.
- Maintain and update publications and ground academic materials using Microsoft Office applications.
- Deliver ground briefs and academics according to BWC lesson plans.
- Conduct instructional sessions in simulators and performance record briefings as required.
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Training Integrated Management System (TIMS) or other scheduling systems.
Essential Requirements:- Experience in flight scheduling for an RSAF flying unit.
- Significant experience as a Qualified Flight Instructor (QFI) with ≥250 flight instructional hours.
- Familiarity with RSAF flying operations and training requirements.
- RSAF Qualified Flying Instructor certification.
Desirable:- Experience in a customer liaison role.
- RSAF PC-21 experience.
Special Requirements:Applicants are required to hold a Singapore Security Clearance.Ability to obtain a subclass 482 visa to work in Western Australia, Australia.Employment may be contingent on the satisfactory result of criminal and/or other background screens, which require the collection and transfer of personal information.
