As a Tow Truck Driver, you’ll be the frontline ambassador of Remarkables Towing. You’ll provide prompt, courteous, and expert assistance to customers in need, operating a range of tow trucks and equipment. Whether rescuing vehicles from challenging locations or transporting prized cars with care, you’ll keep Queenstown’s roads moving and its people supported. You'll occasionally travel to iconic South Island destinations - Milford, Wanaka, Christchurch, Dunedin, and Invercargill. shared equally among team members to ensure fairness and variety.Key Responsibilities:

• Respond to breakdowns, accidents, and roadside assistance requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Operate various tow trucks and recovery equipment safely and competently.
• Assess vehicle conditions and determine the best towing or recovery method for each situation.
• Communicate clearly and empathetically with customers.
• Complete all required documentation.
• Maintain vehicles and equipment, conducting regular inspections and reporting any issues promptly.
• Adhere to all health and safety procedures, company policies, and NZ transport regulations.
• Work collaboratively with the office team for dispatch coordination and schedule management.
• Represent Remarkables Towing professionally in all community and customer interactions.
• Participate in ongoing training and skills development to stay up-to-date with industry standards.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

• Holds a clean Class 2 NZ Driver’s Licence (required).
• Previous experience in towing, heavy vehicle operation, mechanical or roadside assistance work is highly advantageous.
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in dynamic situations.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, particularly in stressful or time-sensitive scenarios.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Basic mechanical knowledge; ability to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues on-site.
• Physical fitness and resilience to work outdoors year-round, including in cold or wet conditions.
• Friendly, compassionate attitude with a commitment to customer care.
• Willingness to participate in after-hours and weekend callouts on a rotating roster.
