TECHNICAL RECRUITER – AUTOMOTIVE & ENGINEERING Location: Greenville, SC - Onsite

ABOUT THE ROLE Bertrandt is seeking a highly driven Technical Recruiter with 5+ years of direct engineering, preferably automotive industry recruiting experience to support engineering and technical hiring across multiple sites. This is a high-impact role requiring strong direct sourcing ability, exceptional communication skills, disciplined follow-up, and a strong sense of urgency in competitive talent markets.
WHAT YOU WILL RECRUIT FOR You will lead full-cycle recruiting for technical roles including:
- Automotive Engineers
- Electrical Engineers
- Mechanical Engineers
- Embedded Systems Engineers
- Software Engineers (Automotive Systems)
- CAD / CATIA / NX Designers
- Validation & Testing Engineers
- Manufacturing & Industrial Engineers
- Quality & Product Development Engineers
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - Own full-cycle recruiting from intake to offer acceptance
- Direct source passive engineering talent using advanced Boolean and LinkedIn Recruiter
- Manage multi-site recruiting portfolios
- Operate with urgency to fill high-priority technical roles
- Maintain exceptional communication with hiring managers and candidates
- Provide consistent, proactive follow-up
- Conduct technical and behavioral pre-screens
- Partner with engineering leadership on workforce planning
- Support candidates requiring work visa sponsorship (H-1B, TN, E-1, OPT, OPT STEM, etc.)
- Ensure compliance with immigration and employment regulations
- Track recruiting metrics and drive process improvements
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a re-lated field.
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in recruiting, preferably within the automotive industry.
- Demonstrated success recruiting engineers and technical professionals
- Strong direct sourcing and passive candidate engagement skills
- Experience supporting multi-site or multi-state hiring
- Working knowledge of U.S. work visa processes
- ATS and CRM proficiency
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with disciplined follow-through
- Ability to manage multiple requisitions with urgency and precision
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Experience in OEM, Tier 1/Tier 2 supplier, or engineering consulting environment
- Global recruiting or mobility experience
- German language proficiency would be a plus.
