Visy is seeking a motivated and hands-on Graduate Software Engineer to join our Manufacturing Systems/Operational Technology (OT) team. This is your opportunity to work on mission-critical systems that power our 24/7 manufacturing operations across the East Coast of Australia.  You'll be supported by strong leadership from both the Manufacturing System Software Development Manager and the Senior Software Engineer, who will guide your development and growth in the role.What you'll do 

• Design, enhance, and support OT systems that drive automation, data flow, and visualisation in industrial environments.
• Become a systems expert for key manufacturing platforms, ensuring maximum uptime and reliability.
• Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to implement software changes, troubleshoot issues, and manage integrations.
• Support infrastructure, including Windows servers, virtual environments (VMWare), backups, and patching.
• Interface with control systems and manage data extraction/reporting using OSI Soft PI Historian.
• Diagnose and resolve network issues, manage firewalls, and ensure OT system isolation.

What You Will BringMandatory:

• Bachelor’s degree in IT or Computer Science.
• Solid foundation in object-oriented programming.
• Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and SQL.
• Familiarity with Windows operating systems and virtualisation technologies.

Desirable:

• Exposure to industrial sites or OT environments.
• Experience with C++, C#, Python, or VB.NET.
• Knowledge of Visual Studio, SQL Server, Oracle, Active Directory, and enterprise backup systems.
• Hands-on experience with patch management and virtualisation platforms like VMWare or Hyper-V.
