Client : TCS Title : Performance Engineer Location : Bloomfield, CT (Onsite) Duration : 12 Months Visa Status : H1B Relevant Experience (in Yrs): Detailed Job Description: Looking for a Senior Performance Engineer, who will lead tuning initiatives across distributed enterprise systems, including real-time streaming APIs and ETL data pipelines. You will own performance environments, diagnose system-level bottlenecks, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve scalability, resiliency, and throughput. Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze performance bottlenecks in API and ETL workloads across distributed systems.
• Design and automate performance test scenarios using JMeter, NeoLoad, or similar tools.
• Support and maintain the performance testing environments.
• Conduct JVM tuning, memory profiling, and diagnostics using tools like YourKit, JProfiler, Glowroot, or Dynatrace.
• Drive capacity planning and proactively identify scalability gaps.
• Reverse-engineer application flows to isolate issues and guide dev teams.
• Automate performance test integration into CI/CD pipelines.

Must-Have Skills:

• Hands-on with JMeter, NeoLoad, LoadRunner, and Java profiling tools.
• Strong background in Java/JVM internals, Garbage Collection tuning, and memory/thread analysis.
• Proven experience with API testing, database tuning (Oracle, MongoDB, SQL Server).
• Experience in distributed cloud environments (OpenShift, AWS).
• Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Deep knowledge of performance KPIs: throughput, latency, CPU, memory, disk I/O, and network usage.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Experience with AWS Services (Lambda, S3, EC2, ECS, API Gateway, DynamoDB).
• Familiarity with Red Hat technologies (Fuse, Kafka).
• Background in infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, AWS CloudFormation).
• Knowledge of container orchestration tools like OpenShift or Kubernetes.
