Assembly Technicians and/or
Vehicle Body Builders to join our team on a permanent basis. Our
Assembly Technicians and
Vehicle Body Builders play an important role in the success of our manufacturing process. This include being responsible for all works relating to the manufacture and assembly of new trailers and other equipment relating to Bruce Rock Engineering.
This position is/includes: - Full-time permanent role
- Working 8 days on 6 days off DIDO roster
- Accommodation & meals provided

Key responsibilities for the role include: - Assemble, service and repair road transport equipment to BRE’s high quality standards.
- Read and interpret drawings and assembly instructions to assemble trailers accurately and efficiently, adhering to BRE’s high quality standards.
- Install various components including axles, wheels, brakes, suspension systems, electrical systems, and other trailer-specific parts in accordance with established guidelines.
- Conduct thorough inspections of assembled trailers to identify and rectify any defects, ensuring all trailers meet or exceed quality and safety standards before finalisation.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot any mechanical issues or discrepancies that arise during assembly, working to find effective solutions in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate records of completed assembly tasks, including part usage, hours worked, and any issues encountered during the assembly process.
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments to coordinate assembly tasks, resolve challenges and contribute to a productive work environment.
- Properly use, maintain and store all tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition and report any malfunctioning equipment to the Leading Hand or Supervisor.
- Perform all duties whilst adhering to WHS requirements.
About you: - Minimum 2 years’ experience in similar role.
- Good knowledge and recognition of heavy-duty vehicles.
- Experience in Heavy Vehicle/Commercial Transport.
- Current Driver’s Licence.
- Hold a current LF (forklift) license or willing and able to obtain one.
- Experience with trucks and trailers (desirable).
