Responsibilities- Provide compassionate care to clients, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
- Assist with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and grooming.
- Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any side effects or changes in condition.
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences.
- Offer companionship and engage clients in social activities to promote mental stimulation.
- Support clients with mobility assistance, including heavy lifting when necessary.
- Provide specialised care for individuals with conditions such as dementia or those requiring hospice care.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to appropriate healthcare professionals.
Qualifications- Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred but not essential.
- Knowledge of medication administration and patient care techniques.
- Familiarity with assisted living environments and dementia care practices is advantageous.
- Certification in First Aid is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams.
- A genuine passion for helping others and a commitment to providing high-quality care.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by client needs.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends if necessary.
