Description
Employment Type - Permanent Full Time Classification - Staff Specialist 1- 5 / Senior Staff Specialist Title - Staff Specialist / Senior Staff Specialist in Palliative Care Position Number - 603669 Total Salary Range - $265,607 to $358,114 (pro rata for part-time positions) excluding Attraction and Retention Incentive Base Salary - $188,151 to $254,198 (pro rata for part-time). The starting salary will be negotiated based on the candidate's experience and expertise. Additional Allowances - Includes a Private Practice Scheme Allowance and an on-call allowance (17.4% of base salary plus Private Practice Allowance). Superannuation: 12% of the base salary. Location – Clare Holland House, ACT Section – Allied Health & Palliative Care Closing Date – 15 September 2025 Applicants who have completed the fellowship exam and are in the last 3 months or pending successful completion by July 2025 are also invited to apply. As a Staff Specialist in Palliative Care, you will provide high-quality, patient-centred medical care across a range of settings including the inpatient unit, outpatient clinics, community and home-based services, and hospital consultancy. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will play a key role in delivering compassionate end-of-life care, supporting patients, families, and carers, and contributing to education, training, and clinical leadership within the service. The role also includes participation in the on-call roster to ensure continuity of care for patients and their families. This is an opportunity to work in a fully accredited, well-established service that is recognised for its strong focus on quality, collaboration, and training.
