Job SummaryAs an entry-level HR Administrator, you will support the school's dynamic HR and operations team in managing people functions for our multicultural staff and growing student body. This role is perfect for a fresh graduate passionate about education, ready to contribute to a collaborative, child-centered environment while gaining practical experience in HR within the international schooling sector. You will assist with administrative tasks that ensure compliance, smooth onboarding, and employee well-being, all while aligning with KBH's values of affordability, excellence, and inclusivity.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in recruitment and onboarding: Draft job postings for teaching and support roles on platforms like MyCareersFuture, LinkedIn, and education-specific sites; screen applications, schedule interviews with international candidates, and prepare onboarding packs including employment contracts, work pass applications (e.g., Employment Pass for expatriate staff), and orientation for new hires.
- Maintain employee and student-related records: Update HR systems with staff details, track leave, benefits, and professional development; support basic student admissions admin in coordination with admissions team.
- Support compliance and school policies: Ensure adherence to Singapore's Ministry of Manpower (MOM) regulations, Committee for Private Education (CPE) guidelines for international schools, and internal policies on child safeguarding and diversity.
- Handle administrative tasks: Manage filing, data entry, and monthly reports on HR metrics (e.g., staff headcount, turnover); process payroll admin (e.g., claims, reimbursements) using tools like school management software or HRIS systems.
- Provide general support: Respond to staff and parent queries on HR matters; assist with event coordination for teacher training, staff appreciation days, or open houses; contribute to employer branding via social media updates on our Cambridge accreditation and growth.
- Collaborate cross-functionally: Partner with finance for budget tracking on staff benefits, operations for campus logistics, and academic leads for teacher performance reviews and professional development opportunities.
- To provide IT support hardware preparation for new onboarding and the like.
- To provide assistance in managing and providing social media materials.
Requirements Education:- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Education, or a related field. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply, with a keen interest in the education sector.
Experience:- No prior experience required; internships in HR, school administration, or customer service (especially in education or multicultural settings) are a plus.
Skills and Competencies:- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail to handle sensitive data like work passes and student records.
- Proficient in Google Suite and basic familiarity with HR tools (training provided).
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) for interacting with diverse staff, expatriate teachers, and parents from various nationalities.
- Understanding of Singapore's employment laws (MOM/CPE) and international schooling dynamics is advantageous; eagerness to learn about Cambridge curriculum support roles.
- Proactive, adaptable, and team-oriented, with a passion for creating positive, inclusive environments aligned with KBH's affordable excellence model.
