We encourage applications from qualified female, indigenous and international candidates for consideration. The opportunityUltra Tune Highgate is growing and we want YOU, a light vehicle mechanic!Previous experience as a mechanic is essential. Duties would include service, repair and diagnosis of all makes and models of car and 4X4'sApplicants must be professional and capable with a good attitude and work ethic. Immediate start available if successful.Working closely with the service centre manager, you will be given training and skills to progress your career to the next level. If you have the passion and desire, we will support you in your career journey with formal training qualifications such as Electric Vehicle (EV) training, Roadworthy Testing, Air-Conditioning Service License etc.  Key responsibilities include:

  • General vehicle servicing and repairs.
  • Vehicle inspection & fault diagnostics.
  • Brake and suspension inspections.
  • Adhere to and follow safety procedures.
  • Maintaining workshop order & cleanliness.
  • Working as part of a team.
  • 2IC Duties as required.


What we look for:

  • Certificate III or Equivalent Qualification - 3 years experience can be used in lieu of qualifications.
  • Minimum 2 Year's Work Experience is essential
  • Experience in replacing timing belts, clutches and head gaskets would be preferable.
  • Air-conditioning License desirable (but not essential).
  • Valid Australian Driver’s License 
  • A professional and reliable attitude – Essential.
  • Attention to detail in fault diagnosis.
  • Ability to take direction and willingness to learn.
  • Loyalty and accountability – Essential.
  • Compliant with WH&S Rules, Regulations and Procedures.
  • Well-presented and punctual on a daily basis.
  • Effective time management skills and able to prioritise multiple responsibilities.
  • Full Australian Working Rights - Essential
