About the role
Join UTS as a Postdoctoral Research Associate on an ARC Discovery Project advancing next-generation bio-magnetometry techniques. This exciting role focuses on designing and integrating magnetic sensors into microfluidic systems, studying particle dynamics, and developing innovative sensing and manipulation strategies for continuous-flow biological analysis.
The successful candidate will collaborate with leading researchers, contribute to the growth of Biomedical Sensors and Microfluidic Devices, and drive high-impact outcomes through publications, presentations, and engagement with industry, government, and professional partners.
About You
As the Postdoctoral Research Associate you will bring a strong research track record, demonstrated through high-quality publications and success in attracting external research funding. With significant experience in leading and managing research projects, you are committed to advancing knowledge in your field and beyond. You will also have an excellent record of supervising and teaching, and thrive in collaborative, interdisciplinary environments. 
To be successful in this role you will need to meet the following key selection criteria for this role: 
- A PhD in Semiconductor Physics, Mechatronics, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering; - Demonstrated experience in one or more of the following areas: measurement sciences and technologies, electrical circuit design, computer programming for machine interfacing or data analysis (e.g., LabVIEW, Python), microfabrication, and microfluidic systems; - Track record of high-quality research in areas such as electrical sensor design and development, microfluidics, biomedical devices, or cell biology.

Remuneration/Salary Base Salary Range: $94,152 - $114,672 (Level A) 
This role attracts 17% superannuation (pension) in addition to the base salary. 
The position is full-time and will be made 12-month fixed term basis with possibility for extension based on performance.
