This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic business leader to spearhead the expansion of our Environmental Management and Planning services in Victoria.This position builds on the success in NSW of our Environment, Sustainability, Engagement & Communication Division led by Gareth O’Brien and our Victorian Business led by Tom Castor.Working out of our Melbourne office in collaboration with our existing Sustainability services, Project Service Group and Systems Engineering teams we are seeking an innovative, thought-provoking Environmental Management and Planning leader.Our Environment, Sustainability, Engagement & Communication business has enjoyed impressive growth in NSW and we are committed to offer the same quality and variety of services to our clients in Victoria.ARCH Artifex has established itself as a leading Project Services consultancy, working across a wide range of major industries including rail, roads, water, aviation, renewables & power, and telco. We are focused on providing added value to our clients and delivering some of Australia’s most exciting infrastructure projects.To support our growth and capabilities with our clients we are looking to bring on a proven industry leader to join our Environment, Sustainability, Engagement & Communication service line, we are looking for an Associate Director – Environmental Management & Planning who is ready to take the next step in their career, to do something challenging, exciting, rewarding, and play a pivotal role in building a high-performing team. This leadership role is intended to drive our business expansion in Victoria and support our existing team of national Environment, Sustainability, Engagement & Communication Consultants, collaborate seamlessly with our leadership team to help sculpt the business.Experience should include:Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science, Environmental Planning, Engineering, or similar relevant discipline10+ years of relevant industry experience in environment, sustainability / engineering sector.Proven experience in managing and developing teams of professionalsProven experience in business development, commercial management with detailed commercial acumen and a growth mindsetDetailed knowledge of government environmental management and planning policies and regulationsAbility to clearly communicate and present environmental recommendations and strategies to clients and project teamsAppetite for environment/sustainability best practice, continuing development of skills and expanding knowledge and experienceDetailed understanding of state and federal environmental legislationDetailed understanding of state Planning Policies and Planning ApprovalsExperience in various infrastructure sectors such as: renewables, water, rail, aviation and roadsExperience working in/with Tier 1 Construction Contractors, highly regardedDetailed knowledge of accepted industry standards for risk, safety, and environmental management.Ideal candidates will be entrepreneurial and have:The ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams.Proven reputation, professional network and a known leader in the Victorian infrastructure sector.Proven skills and a belief in their capability to establish business relationships & drive outcomes.Proven understanding of how projects are developed and delivered.Proven skills in cultivating collaborative working relationships with clients.This is an excellent opportunity to join ARCH Artifex's thriving Environment, Sustainability, Engagement & Communication business.ARCH Artifex will consider existing visa holders in Australia and provide a permanent residency pathway for overseas candidates who qualify.Find out more information about ARCH Artifex at www.archservices.com.a
