What You’ll Be Doing?
  • Preparing and serving healthy, balanced meals and snacks that meet a range of dietary needs and preferences.
  • Working closely with educators and families to support individual children’s dietary requirements and overall wellbeing.
  • Maintaining a clean, safe kitchen and complying with all food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Managing food stock, placing orders, and reducing waste through effective practices.
  • Supporting centre initiatives that teach children about healthy eating and food preparation.

We’re Looking For Someone With:
  • Proven experience as a chef or cook, preferably in an early learning, school, or care environment.
  • Strong understanding of food safety regulations and allergy management.
  • The ability to confidently cater for allergies, intolerances, and cultural dietary preferences.
  • Excellent organisation, time management, and teamwork skills.
  • A warm, positive, and collaborative approach to work.
  • Relevant qualifications such as Certificate III in Commercial Cookery and/or Food Safety Supervisor Certificate.
