Job SummaryThe Procurement & Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the Company’s procurement and supply chain operations, ensuring the effective sourcing, importation, storage, and movement of food products and related goods. The role is critical to ensuring that procurement activities, supplier coordination, inventory planning, and shipment operations are managed efficiently and in compliance with operational requirements. The successful candidate will oversee procurement processes, manage relationships with suppliers and logistics partners, coordinate import activities, and ensure continuity of supply across the Company’s operations.
Responsibilities1. Procurement & Supplier ManagementIdentify, evaluate, and manage relationships with international and domestic suppliers of food products and related goodsNegotiate pricing, supply terms, freight arrangements, and procurement contracts with suppliers and logistics providersMonitor supplier performance, product quality, delivery schedules, and compliance requirementsEnsure continuity and reliability within the Company’s procurement activities2. Import & Supply Chain CoordinationCoordinate end-to-end importation processes including shipment scheduling, freight forwarding, customs documentation, and delivery planningLiaise with freight providers, customs agents, warehouse operators, and logistics partners to ensure smooth movement of goodsMonitor inbound shipments and resolve delays, supply disruptions, or logistical issuesEnsure procurement and logistics activities are coordinated effectively across the supply chain3. Inventory & Stock ManagementMonitor inventory levels and stock availability across storage and operational locationsForecast stock requirements based on supply schedules and operational needsCoordinate procurement planning to prevent shortages, delays, or excess inventoryEnsure accurate stock control and inventory reporting procedures are maintained4.Cost Control & Procurement StrategyAnalyse procurement costs, freight charges, supplier pricing, and operational expenditureIdentify opportunities for cost savings and procurement efficiency improvementsImplement purchasing strategies to optimise operational performance and supply chain reliabilitySupport budgeting and financial planning relating to procurement and logistics activities5. Operational CoordinationCoordinate procurement and supply chain activities with operational staff, suppliers, warehouse personnel, and logistics partnersEnsure effective scheduling and movement of goods across procurement and distribution processesMaintain operational continuity within supply chain and inventory functionsSupport the day-to-day coordination of import and procurement operations6. Compliance & DocumentationEnsure procurement and import activities comply with relevant regulations, documentation requirements, and operational proceduresOversee preparation and verification of shipping and procurement documentation including invoices, supplier records, and shipment documentationEnsure compliance with food importation procedures and operational standards where applicableMaintain accurate procurement and supplier records7. Performance Monitoring & ReportingMonitor procurement performance, supplier reliability, shipment timelines, and operational efficiencyProduce reports relating to procurement activities, inventory status, and supply chain operationsAnalyse operational data to identify inefficiencies and recommend process improvementsSupport management decision-making through reporting and operational analysis.Management & Operational Responsibility The Procurement & Supply Chain Manager will take responsibility for coordinating procurement and supply chain activities across the Company’s operations and will work closely with suppliers, logistics partners, warehouse providers, and operational personnel. The role includes oversight of procurement processes, shipment coordination, supplier relationships, inventory planning, and operational logistics activities associated with the Company’s importation business.
Qualifications Degree or equivalent professional experience in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics, Business Management, or related field Relevant experience in procurement and supply chain operations within import/export, logistics, or wholesale environmentsProven experience in procurement, supply chain management, logistics, or import/export operations Experience in supplier management, freight coordination, and procurement planning Strong understanding of international shipping, cargo handling, and supply chain processes Ability to coordinate procurement and logistics activities across multiple operational stages Experience negotiating with suppliers, freight providers, and logistics partners Strong analytical, reporting, and operational coordination skills.Employee BenefitsGreen Pastures Global Limited is committed to providing a supportive and professional working environment.
