Airconditioning and Refrigeration Mechanic – Full Time

About the RoleThe successful applicant will be responsible for installing, commissioning, servicing, maintaining and repairing residential and commercial air conditioning and refrigeration systems and equipment. Key Responsibilities· Read drawings and specifications and determine installation requirements;· Install refrigeration pipework, mounting brackets and system components;· Install, commission, service, maintain and repair air conditioning and refrigeration systems;· Conduct pressure and leak testing, evacuation and refrigerant charging within the scope of the licences held;· Diagnose faults and repair or replace defective components;· Complete preventative maintenance, warranty work and service reports; and· Ensure all work complies with applicable safety requirements, Australian Standards and licence conditions. What We’re Looking For· A relevant trade qualification in air conditioning and refrigeration, such as an AQF Certificate III or an equivalent overseas trade qualification;· Relevant experience installing, servicing and repairing air conditioning and refrigeration systems;· A current Australian Refrigerant Handling Licence, or evidence that you are progressing through a recognised Australian skills-recognition or licensing pathway;· A current driver licence valid in Queensland;· A current White Card, or the ability to obtain one;· Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills; and· Good communication, customer service and teamwork skills.
