Job description*To apply for this role, please visit www.bdp.com/careers* Junior Project ManagerLocation: London, ClerkenwellContract: Full time, PermanentHours: Mon – Fri 9 am-5.30pm (37.5 hours per week), flexible working policy in place, subject to agreementWe are looking for a Junior Project Manager to join our London studio. You will work closely with our Design Managers and multi-disciplinary design teams to assist in delivery of high-profile projects across multiple sectors.Taking responsibility for tasks from day one, you will be supporting Design Managers and Project Teams in monitoring and reporting on performance of the project in the London studio.Tasks will include:
  • Assisting the Design Manager’s generally with the following activities

  • Assistance with preparation of programs of work, scopes of work and Deliverables Schedules (liaising with teams and Project Co-ordinators).
  • Liaise with other design consultants and Client representatives to coordinate and track design progress during regular project meetings
  • Preparing / assisting with workload and forecasting data / documentation.
  • Project performance monitoring data / documentation.
  • Preparing fee drawing arrangements and calculation of sums due for invoicing.
  • Maintain records of project change and assist in management of change control processes.
  • Monitoring sub-consultants’ fees and invoices.
  • Assisting with other project or business functions as necessary and as workload dictates and actively delivering value for time spent.

About youYou will be proficient in MS Excel. A general understanding of the principles of programming (logic links, baselines, critical path, float, etc.) and an understanding of any of programming software such as MS Project, Primavera, Asta PowerProject, etc would be preferred but not essential.You will be highly numerate and have good IT skills, drive and enthusiasm, an ability to communicate effectively and some knowledge of the construction industry and or RIBA design process. Previous experience of working in a design led environment and knowledge of appointment documents will be an advantage.You will demonstrate a collaborative team-working style and enjoy working to tight deadlines. You will be able to work effectively and collaborate with people at all levels and from all backgrounds and have excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing.We’re seeking candidates with at least two years of post-graduate experience.
