OverviewElysium Group are launching a new high end luxury wine & cocktail bar in Colchester City Centre.We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Mixologist / Manager with experience in mixology to oversee this new operation. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hospitality, with a passion for delivering exceptional service and creating a vibrant atmosphere. As Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth running of the bar, recruiting, training and supervising staff, and maintaining high standards of food and drink service.
Duties- Manage daily bar operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Supervise and train bar staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Develop and implement innovative drink menus that align with culinary offerings.
- Oversee inventory management, including ordering supplies and controlling stock levels.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure seamless service during busy periods.
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally, ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Monitor financial performance, including sales targets and cost control measures.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, adhering to hygiene standards.
Qualifications- Proven experience in a bar management role or similar position within the hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of bartending techniques and cocktail preparation.
- Experience in food and drink preparation or production is advantageous.
- Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to lead a team effectively.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
