Ngā tūnga hou | The roles We have graduate positions available across both Tauranga and Hamilton, starting early 2027. We're open to candidates with a background in either Geotechnical Engineering or Engineering Geology. As a Graduate Geotechnical Engineer or Engineering Geologist you'll be:
  • Getting out on site for field and investigation work
  • Collecting, analysing and interpreting ground and geological data to understand what's happening beneath the surface
  • Contributing to design solutions for a wide range of infrastructure and development projects
  • Assessing natural hazards and their risk to communities, infrastructure and the environment
  • Working alongside engineers and scientists across different disciplines on complex, multi-faceted projects
  • Communicating your findings clearly through reports and recommendations for clients
  • Building your technical toolkit every day - no two projects are the same

You'll need:
  • A BE(Hons), ME or PhD in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Geology or a related discipline
  • For those pursuing an Engineering Geology pathway, a Professional Masters in Engineering Geology is highly regarded
  • To be a recent graduate or currently in your final year of study
