About Finance and Procurement Services Finance and Procurement Services assist the University to achieve its goals by providing quality leadership, information, and financial services. The Finance and Procurement Services team undertakes monthly financial management reporting and forecasting, annual budgets and monitoring performance against these budgets, all regulatory financial reporting, monthly compliance, procurement contracting and functional areas of paying suppliers, receipting revenue and annual financial statements.
About the Role Flinders University has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Systems Accountant to join their Finance and Procurement Team. Working under broad to generally unguided direction, the Senior Systems Accountant will be responsible for high level technical and operational design, leading, planning, development, configuration, maintenance and support of key University finance systems. This involves, but is not limited to, planning and supervising improvements, maintenance of accounting and financial processes, and process enhancement. This role is focused on ensuring the integrity of financial data, compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements, and improving the effectiveness of the university's finance systems. About You As the successful Senior Systems Accountant, you will possess strong written and verbal communication skills, allowing you to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels. You have experience in creating clear, user-friendly reports, briefings, and process documents. You have proven experience in project and change management, risk management, audit and governance, as well as in leading, developing, and coaching professional staff.
