Role Overview

The Senior Appian Developer will design, develop, and implement scalable business solutions using the Appian BPM Suite. This position involves technical leadership, mentorship, and ensuring compliance with enterprise development standards while collaborating closely with stakeholders to deliver high-quality workflow automation.

Key Responsibilities

Application Development

• Design and develop Appian applications using SAIL, process models, records, reports, and web APIs.
• Customize workflows and UI components to improve user experience and process efficiency.
• Integrate Appian with external systems via REST/SOAP APIs, RDBMS, and third-party connectors.

Technical Leadership

• Lead Agile development teams, review code, and ensure adherence to best practices.
• Mentor junior developers and promote Appian standards and reusability.
• Conduct peer code reviews and enforce quality assurance protocols.

Collaboration & Support

• Work with architects, business analysts, and stakeholders to transform requirements into Appian solutions.
• Provide Level 3 production support and troubleshoot integration and performance issues.
• Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to non-technical teams.

Optimization & Compliance

• Ensure performance, security, and accessibility compliance (including Section 508).
• Optimize application scalability and evaluate new Appian platform releases for adoption.

Required Skills & Experience

• 7 10+ years of Appian development experience, including SAIL, process modeling, and UI design.
• Strong understanding of Appian architecture, security model, and performance tuning.
• Proficient in Java, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, JSON, XML, RESTful APIs.
• Strong SQL and RDBMS experience (Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server).
• Appian Level 1 & Level 2 certifications mandatory.
• Appian Certified Senior or Lead Developer preferred.
• Prior experience in Agile/Scrum methodology and BPM principles.

• Hybrid Onsite (3 days/week) after 3-month remote phase.
• Local candidates strongly preferred due to in-person interviews.
