We’re looking for someone who has the fire to prove others wrong About the Role Solstice is building the industry’s leading AI platform to help life sciences teams generate compliant marketing content. We’re looking for a Front-end/UX engineer to join our founding team and help architect and deliver the end-to-end user experience for our customers. This role is perfect for someone who thrives at the intersection of design and engineering, has a deep appreciation for product polish, and wants to shape how the next generation of AI-first tools serve biopharma teams. Beyond development, you will be collaborating closely with co-founders Yiwen and Aris on all facets of the startup as we grow Solstice in the coming years. What you’ll be working on:

• Designing and building beautiful, performant, and responsive UIs using Next.js, React, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS.
• Creating real-time, interactive product experiences that integrate AI insights, user annotations, and collaborative workflows.
• Working closely with backend and AI engineers to ensure seamless data flow and frontend/backend integration.
• Design, ship, and own production-level software from start to finish.

Some ideal traits we’re looking for

• Engineering chops. Relevant experience building systems & deploying enterprise-grade products
• Independent thinking. While we believe specific skills can be taught, we need someone who has the ability to make decisions and drive results on their own.
• Frontend expertise. Strong experience with React, Next.js, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, and modern frontend tooling.
• Bias toward action. Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, ambiguous startup environment.
• Superb communication and collaboration skills. We believe in direct communication and willingness to provide as well as accept criticism.
• Unreal work ethic. Diamonds were not made overnight.

Competitive NYC Compensation This role offers a highly competitive NYC salary in the $150,000–$275,000 range, calibrated to reflect experience, seniority, and the level of ownership you’ll take on as part of the early team. We benchmark against top-tier startups and established tech companies to ensure our compensation is both fair and compelling, and we maintain flexibility at the upper end of the range for exceptional candidates who can meaningfully accelerate our product and engineering roadmap.
