ServiceNow Now Assist Developer to design, configure, and implement AI‑powered capabilities using ServiceNow’s Now Assist and GenAI features. The role focuses on enhancing user productivity, automating workflows, and improving service experiences across ITSM, CSM, HRSD, and other ServiceNow modules using AI, NLP, and contextual intelligence.The ideal candidate will have strong ServiceNow platform expertise combined with hands‑on experience in AI‑driven features, prompt design, flow orchestration, and enterprise governance.
Key Responsibilities Now Assist & GenAI Implementation- Design and implement Now Assist use cases such as:
- AI‑generated case/task summaries
- Agent assist and response recommendations
- Knowledge article generation and improvement
- Chat-based and conversational experiences
- Configure and manage Now Assist for ITSM, CSM, HRSD, and Custom Apps
- Develop and optimize prompts, contextual grounding, and AI responses aligned with business outcomes
ServiceNow Development- Build and customize solutions using:
- Flow Designer
- IntegrationHub
- Business Rules, Script Includes, UI Policies
- Catalog items and virtual agent topics
- Develop reusable components and scalable AI-enabled workflows
- Support AI features across workspace and portal experiences
AI Governance & Enablement- Ensure compliance with AI governance, data security, and privacy standards
- Collaborate with architects to define GenAI operating models, guardrails, and usage controls
- Monitor and tune AI outputs for accuracy, relevance, bias, and performance
Collaboration & Delivery- Work closely with product owners, architects, and process leads to identify high‑value AI use cases
- Support UAT, production rollout, and post‑go‑live tuning
- Contribute to documentation, best practices, and enablement materials
Required Skills & Experience ServiceNow Core- 7+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience
- Strong knowledge of:
- ITSM (mandatory)
- CSM / HRSD (preferred)
- ServiceNow configuration and scripting (JavaScript)
- Experience working with Workspaces and modern UI frameworks
Now Assist / AI- Hands‑on experience with ServiceNow Now Assist
- Understanding of:
- Generative AI concepts
- Prompt engineering
- Contextual grounding and data sources
- Experience with Virtual Agent and conversational workflows
Integrations & Automation- Experience with IntegrationHub, REST APIs, and external system integrations
- Familiarity with automation and orchestration patterns
Preferred Qualifications- ServiceNow certifications:
- CSA (required or expected)
- CIS – ITSM / CSM / HRSD (preferred)
- ServiceNow GenAI / Now Assist credentials (nice to have)
- Exposure to enterprise AI governance models
- Experience supporting global, multi‑region ServiceNow deployments
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills
Experience Level (Flexible)- Mid‑level: 4–6 years ServiceNow experience, 1+ year with AI/Now Assist
- Senior: 7–10+ years ServiceNow experience, leading GenAI implementations
