The Opportunity We are a well-established wholesaler of restaurant front- and back-of-the-house supplies, located in central New Jersey. We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Staff Accountant (Bilingual: Chinese & English) to join our team. This role is responsible for overseeing the company’s accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, tax compliance, and effective internal controls.
Duties & Responsibilities - Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations
- Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with U.S. accounting standards (GAAP)
- Monitor and manage corporate and real estate tax filings and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations
- Analyze and review financial reports to provide actionable insights to the Company’s Management
- Support internal audits and ensure timely resolution of any findings
- Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes
- Evaluate and improve financial processes to enhance accuracy and efficiency
- Communicate effectively with internal departments and external stakeholders (e.g., banks, auditors, tax agencies)
- Maintain documentation and records to support financial audits and regulatory filings
- Perform other accounting-related duties as assigned
Requirements - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from an accredited U.S. university.
- Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience in a U.S.-based company.
- Hands-on experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Proficient in reviewing and reconciling bank statements.
- Experience in managing corporate and real estate taxes.
- Skilled in preparing accurate and timely financial statements.
- Preference given to candidates with over 2 years of management experience in a finance department.
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a high sense of responsibility.
- Fluency in both Chinese and English (spoken and written).
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to drive.
- H-1B visa sponsorship is available if necessary.
