Job Title: Quantum Computing Specialist 6+ years of experience (Contract – 12+ Months) Client: IBM Research (or insert another enterprise-level client like Microsoft Quantum, Google AI, or AWS Braket) Location: Open to relocation across the USA (Multiple Locations Available) Visa: H1B Preferred, All Visa Types Accepted (GC-EAD, H4-EAD, USC, GC) Job Description:We are currently hiring a Quantum Computing Specialist for a long-term contractual assignment (12+ months) with one of our top-tier clients in the research and development domain. The selected candidate will be contributing to cutting-edge projects in quantum algorithm design, quantum error correction, and hardware simulation. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside industry leaders in Quantum Computing and gain experience in real-world applications of emerging technologies. Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, simulate, and optimize quantum algorithms for industry-specific use cases.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on quantum software toolchains and platforms (e.g., Qiskit, Cirq, or Amazon Braket).
  • Analyze and improve quantum error correction and fault-tolerant designs.
  • Work closely with quantum hardware and cloud teams to integrate software layers.
  • Contribute to research papers, internal documentation, and proof-of-concept prototypes.

Required Skills:
  • Strong background in Quantum Computing, Quantum Information Science, or related fields.
  • Hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Pennylane, etc.).
  • Solid understanding of quantum mechanics and linear algebra.
  • Programming skills in Python (mandatory); C++ or other languages a plus.
  • Knowledge of classical and quantum hybrid algorithms (e.g., VQE, QAOA).

Preferred Qualifications:
  • PhD or Master’s degree in Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
  • Experience working on cloud-based quantum platforms (IBM Q, AWS Braket, Azure Quantum).
  • Publications in peer-reviewed quantum computing journals or conferences.

Additional Information:
  • Contract Duration: 12+ months with possible extension
  • Work Authorization: H1B Preferred. Open visa holders (including GC/H4-EAD/USC)
  • Relocation: Candidate should be open to relocation across the USA based on project needs
