Job Description

At Griffith Business School, we're changing the way people do business. The Department of Accounting, Finance and Economics offers internationally recognised degrees in accounting, banking, business law, business statistics, economics, finance, financial planning and taxation. Our faculty members are actively engaged in producing high-impact research and collaborating with industry leaders to develop innovative solutions to complex business challenges. As a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer, you’ll make significant contributions to the teaching effort of the Department and play a major role in scholarship, research and professional activities. You will:
  • Deliver engaging, student-centred learning experiences across undergraduate and postgraduate courses
  • Contribute to curriculum innovation and contemporary teaching practices
  • Undertake impactful research and scholarly activity within your discipline
  • Supervise Higher Degree Research students
  • Conduct rigorous, original research with a clear pathway to publication in leading finance and economics journals
  • Build and maintain an active research pipeline, including working papers, conference presentations at major international venues, and collaboration with colleagues in the Department and across the discipline
  • Pursue competitive external research funding and industry-partnered grants where appropriate
  • Contribute to the research culture of the Department through seminars, reading groups, and mentorship of junior colleagues

At Senior Lecturer level, you will also provide academic and research leadership, contribute to research funding success, and play a key role in mentoring staff and fostering research excellence. Qualifications

For Senior Lecturer appointments, demonstrated academic leadership, research impact and success in securing competitive funding will be highly regarded. What we can offer
This is a continuing, full time position primarily based at Griffith University Gold Coast. As Griffith is a multi-site university you may be required to work across other locations. Griffith University’s sites are located on the lands of the Yugarabul, Yuggera, Jagera, Turrbal, Yugambeh and Kombumerri peoples. Salary Range
Depending on experience, appointment will be made at Lecturer (Level B) or Senior Lecturer (Level C). Lecturer level B salary range $117,076 - $139,031per annum + 17% superannuation. Senior Lecturer level C salary range $143,418 - $165,374 per annum + 17% superannuation. Visa sponsorship is available for this opportunity.
