Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to support classroom teachers and enhance the learning experience of students. This role involves working closely with children, including those with special educational needs and disabilities, to foster a positive and inclusive environment. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, patience, and a genuine interest in helping children reach their full potential.   • Assist classroom teachers in delivering engaging lessons and activities tailored to diverse learning needs
  • Support children with special educational requirements, including those with autism or other disabilities
  • Provide one-on-one tutoring and mentoring to students who need additional help with their studies or behavioural development
  • Foster a nurturing environment by encouraging positive behaviour and social interaction among pupils
  • Assist in preparing teaching materials, resources, and creative writing exercises to stimulate student creativity
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers on individual development
  • Support students during breaks, lunch periods, and extracurricular activities to ensure safety and inclusion
  • Communicate effectively with pupils, teachers, and parents to promote a collaborative approach to education

Experience
  • Prior experience working with children or in an educational setting is highly desirable
  • Experience supporting individuals with disabilities or special educational needs is advantageous
  • Knowledge of special education practices, particularly working with children on the autism spectrum, is preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively with children and adults alike
  • Experience in tutoring or mentoring roles that involve creative writing or personalised learning support is beneficial
  • A caring attitude combined with organisational skills to manage multiple responsibilities within a classroom environment
