- Salary: $230,375 – $238,446 per annum, plus 17% Super and Leave Loading.
Provide senior academic leadership to embed experiential learning and practical legal skills across the law program.The OpportunityYou will provide senior academic leadership in law with a clear focus on expanding and embedding experiential learning as a core component of the program. You will respond to the evolving expectations of the legal profession by ensuring graduates develop strong practical legal skills, ethical judgment and professional capability alongside disciplinary knowledge.
You will design, develop and deliver contemporary undergraduate and postgraduate units using blended and technology-enabled approaches. You will apply a well-defined teaching philosophy and reflective practice, lead peer review and quality assurance in education, and support curriculum development at unit, course and program level. You will contribute to professional development in pedagogy and discipline knowledge across the School of Law and Faculty.
You will establish and sustain strong relationships with legal practitioners, service providers and professional bodies in Western Sydney, nationally and internationally. Through these partnerships, you will strengthen work-integrated and experiential learning opportunities, support industry-informed teaching and research, and contribute to the standing of the law program. As a senior academic leader, you will mentor early and mid-career academics, support the next generation of academic leaders, and contribute to governance and professional activities relevant to legal education.

About You- Extensive experience in legal practice or a PhD in law or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching and curriculum design at undergraduate and postgraduate level.
- Experience leading experiential or practice-based learning initiatives in legal education.
- Proven ability to build and sustain relationships with legal professionals and industry partners.
- Highly developed leadership, collaboration and mentoring capability across disciplines and faculties.
