Job Summary:We are seeking a highly experienced Agriculture Field Supervisor with a strong background in agriculture to join our dynamic team. The candidate that will join our team will bring the knowledge for directly supervising various tasks related to the cultivation, harvesting, and maintenance of crops, ensuring operations run smoothly. Task supervision can include overseeing planting, watering (irrigation), weeding, fertilizing, harvesting, sorting, packing, cooling, and transporting agricultural products. The Agriculture Field Supervisor may also operate and maintain farm equipment and machinery, such as tractors, harvesters, and irrigation systems. Should have a strong work ethic, physical stamina, and a willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Duties:- Supervising and coordinating the work activities of farm laborers and seasonal (H-2A) workers.
- Provide ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance team skills and capabilities, including conducting and documenting any Recurring Technical Training (RTT).
- Organizes equipment and materials needed for the shift work and makes assignments.
- Oversees and prepares fields for planting by tilling, leveling, and fertilizing the soil.
- Implements and trains farm workers on quality control measures.
- Coordinate transportation of harvested boxed produce to storage facilities or market destinations.
- Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment and irrigation systems.
- Train and certify workers on the safe and proper use of farm equipment.
- Maintains accurate records of planting dates, crop inputs, and harvest yields.
- Reports on field conditions, crop progress, and any issues encountered.
- Ensures compliance with safety regulations and protocols. Complies with best practices, directives, and Lucky Star Marketing Employee Health & Safety Manual established policies and procedures.
- Inspects field produce for spoilage, freshness, color, odor, and overall condition against the Quality Systems Manual and in accordance with either Primus (Mexico Standard) or Global GAP (US Standard), and completes documentation of the quality inspection.
- Collaborating with other team members to plan and execute farming operations.
- Monitor daily schedule and shipping schedule to ensure orders are staged, counted and accurate and BOL documentation is prepared.
Qualifications and Experience:- Minimum of 2-4 years in agricultural environment leadership and supervisory role.
- Excellent communication skills and analytical ability to gather, document, and summarize data and solve problems.

- Flexibility to work across many areas in a fast-paced environment.
- Diligent worker who is a self-starter and proactive – works well with minimal supervision.

- Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, and divide, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals), and the ability to read, interpret, and understand pick lists, order sheets, and other documents.
- Excellent organizational, technical, and time management skills.
- Farm Tractor and forklift Certification preferred.
- Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 55 Lbs.
- Ability to walk, climb, stoop, kneel, sit, and stand for an assigned shift.
- Frequently requires visual acuity, speech, vision, and hearing
- Ability to prioritize workload, multitask and expedite as required.
- Ability to deal effectively with different personalities.
- Ability to deal with exposure to temperature extremes, rain. humidity, cold, heat (all weather conditions), and exposure to various kinds of dust, dirt, pollen, fumes, gasses, and insects.
- Ability to use arms and fingers repetitively and perform fine manipulations.
- Basic knowledge and ability to use a variety of agricultural equipment and hand tools.
- Must fluently speak, read and write in Spanish, bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.
