Software & Cloud Architecture Engineer

Location: Lisbon, Portugal

Work Model: Hybrid (2 days onsite in Campo Grande)

Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior AI Solutions Architect with strong experience in AI architecture and cloud-native environments.

The professional will be responsible for designing, implementing, and leading AI/GenAI solutions from concept to production, ensuring scalability, security, governance, and compliance across cloud platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement AI/ML architectures in cloud environments (Azure, AWS, or GCP);
• Define technical standards focused on scalability, security, governance, and compliance;
• Lead Proofs of Concept (PoCs) and support engineering teams during implementation;
• Contribute to architecture frameworks, reference models, and technical documentation;
• Act as a technical reference for development and engineering teams.

Mandatory Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field;
• Relevant cloud certifications such as Google Certified Professional Cloud Architect or Azure Solutions Architect Expert;
• Proven experience with public cloud environments;
• Strong Python knowledge;
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases;
• Solid background in distributed systems and microservices architecture;
• Knowledge of cloud security and CI/CD practices;
• Hands-on experience with AI/GenAI solutions;
• Experience with AI frameworks such as Azure OpenAI, Vertex AI, or similar;
• Knowledge of vector databases (MongoDB, PostgreSQL, BigQuery Vector Search);
• Familiarity with GenAI frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar.

Soft Skills

• Excellent communication and leadership skills;
• Strong stakeholder management capabilities;
• Problem-solving mindset and ability to handle complex technical challenges.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Kafka;
• Knowledge of Data Mesh concepts;
• Experience with MLOps and AI governance frameworks.
